Widely applied to various clinical departments, electrocardio monitoring is an essential equipment for critically ill patient, is an important guarantee for diagnosis, salvage and rescue. It can prompt found the abnormal ECG changes, make the correct diagnosis and take quickly effective rescue measures, and so to make the patients through. As an important part of the monitoring system, ECG electrode’s performance is directly related to the accuracy of the monitoring result, so the performance measurement of ECG electrode is also very important.According to the latest national pharmaceutical industry standard, and for the products on the market do not conform to the state standards, this paper puts forward the development of the ECG electrode performance test system. In this paper, we use C8051F340 with rich chip resources and LabVIEW which is a graphical PC design platform, and through the USB communication technology, design a performance testing system of ECG electrode which is reliable, high measurement precision and convenient interactive.The main content of this article is the hardware design and software design of the test system. In system hardware, we used analog switch to choose the different performance parameters which is to be test, every performance test circuit is designed according the national standard to ensure the test result is real and effective. The system control, acquisition and the control of USB communication by C8051F340. In system software, we design interface by LabVIEW which also send the test orders to lower computer and receive parameter data and process the parameters.Though the system verification and the actual test, it proved that the system can be used to measure the performance of ECG electrode, and it can avoid human errors in operation. This system is in line with national standards and also meet the satisfy the practical test requirements.
