With the rapid development of optical fiber communication technology , the rapid growth of the fiber in the amount of information transmitted by photoelectric switching speed of the network nodes will produce electronic bottleneck . All-optical packet switching network can eliminate the electronic bottleneck , to reduce packet switching process in the light - electricity - light conversion brought the delay and improve the transmission rate of the communication system . The optical memory of the good or bad network directly determines the performance of all-optical packet switching network . Precise adjustment based on the wide range of the 3 × 3 coupler double loop optical buffer (DLOB), longer length of 5000m the large DLOB and a short length of 5m the small DLOB of large dynamic range optical buffer the important part of the device . How to achieve two DLOB cache, becomes the key to guarantee adjustable time change can be a large dynamic range of the optical buffer . Through a series of tests , including a test experiment , the cache experiments and noise suppression experiments , analysis of the problems of the large and small DLOB optical buffer and large solve these problems , the solution of small DLOB ring , and finally to achieve signal data the package can be large, small DLOB cached for 10 laps , the signal-to-noise ratio greater than 15dB minimum adjustable the accuracy 76.35ns the cache results . Finally, from the rate equation of the SOA export function of the input and output characteristics consider loss case , to find the optimum operating point . And proposes the use limiting properties of the semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA) is used as the optical domain limiter shaper good effect, proved by experiments , the pattern effect in and DLOB good inhibition .
