The powerline communications advantage because of its unique network coverage , more and more attention at home and abroad in recent years has become a hot research as a new communications medium . Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) anti-multipath fading and frequency selection characteristic fading characteristics , making it the preferred solution for broadband power line communication . Channel estimation is one of the key technologies of OFDM , the performance of a direct impact on the reliability and validity of the entire communication system . In this paper, the analysis of the characteristics of the power line channel , proposed self-organizing competitive neural network algorithm used in OFDM powerline communication channel estimation . First of all, this stage powerline communications and channel estimation Research were discussed . Analysis of the the OFDM principle characteristics on OFDM applied to the advantage of the broadband power line communication with the existing difficulties , further illustrate the significance of channel estimation OFDM powerline communication . Secondly , in -depth study of the OFDM communication system principle and implementation of methods based on to clarify a number of key technologies of OFDM and OFDM communication system simulation platform using MATLAB software , channel estimation algorithm simulation provides an experimental basis . Again, the analysis of low-voltage power line letter Road, the impedance characteristics and attenuation characteristics , noise characteristics , and when change characteristics , and the use of Devolo Company production of dLAN200 the power line modem communications interference experiments , data obtained through experiments further analysis of the low voltage networks of different load of access the influence on the communication . Finally , research pilot assisted channel estimation algorithm, in-depth analysis of the principles of several pilot aided algorithm using MATLAB software to verify the estimation performance of these algorithms . In view of the pilot assisted channel estimates need to send a pilot signal , reduces the effective bandwidth utilization , further proposed blind estimation algorithm for self-organizing competitive neural network used in channel estimation , and then expounded the principle of the algorithm , implementation steps and learning rate choice and gives the simulation results .
