Women’s University in Modern China, which makes a great contribution to the development of the first batch of female intellectuals, is a product of Chinese-Western cultural communication and an essential part of Chinese women’s higher education. With little interference of male, female students in Women’s University do not have to play the role of the traditional distribution of gender relations and are given the equal opportunities, freedom and rights like male to develop their own. They, on the one hand, put emphasis on the traditional way of life of women and the role of the field. On the other hand, they are also in practice the traditional male behavior. Female in Women’s University can not only study the same curriculum as male, but also take part in a variety of extra-curricular activities. And Women’s University consciously supports and guides more women to enter the majors which are not the traditional area of women. Thus, it provides them with a level playing field and creates opportunities for the development of coeducation. On the grounds of long-term accumulation, Women’s University as a special type of women-oriented university has framed a unique and excellent management style, which is different from the coeducational university. Key to its success lies in its individuality and characteristic to develop women’s character, ability and guide their directions in accordance with female regularity.This paper studies Women’s University student management to reveal the gender characteristics of female students in modern China, thus to illustrate the contributions of Women’s University made to the socialization of genders, female gender expectations and self-awareness, and the solid foundation it has laid for the social success that participation and competition-oriented campus atmosphere led to. This article is divided into five chapters: Chapter I introduces the background and significance of this topic, the domestic research on the text to define the relevant concepts; Chapter II introduces the status of development of Women’s University in modern China, its characteristics and historical roles; Chapter III discusses student management from the modern feminist thought, pragmatism female educational philosophy and establishment of full-personality; Chapter IV talks about the Women’s University student management from the aspects of school work management, management of school roll, day-to-day management, the management of extra-curricular activities in an effort to reveal the uniqueness of Women’s University student management. Chapter V serves as a conclusion to state the characteristics of Women’s University student management and its modern implications.This paper mainly takes the following research methods such as literature research method, historical study method, text analysis method, graphology to study and analyze the relevant archival documents, periodicals, history information, alumni memoirs, biographies, books and other content. In the course of study, the author strives to achieve the full and accurate historical data. Under the guidance of historical materialism, in accordance with the principles of history-basis, combining history with theory, using the past to serve the present, the author conducts a comprehensive introduction and objective evaluation about Women’s University student management, and comes to some regularity understanding and makes some implications for the reform and development of current women’s higher education.
