The internal combustion engine is using the widest range in the world, the largest number of thermal power plant, power coverage, wide speed range, good economic features. The power transmission mechanism of an internal combustion engine, usually by the piston, connecting rod, crankshaft, this structure leads to the engine efficiency is low, and bring a series of problems such as vibration and noise. Based on design ideas to improve the energy conversion efficiency of the power transmission mechanism, research rack - beyond clutch transmission and flexible - beyond the the clutch transmission two new power transmission mechanism, the two institutions have in common high transmission efficiency of institutions, the lateral pressure small, no dead point long cylinders, and can be designed to increase the stroke of the piston. Around these two institutions on a new type of internal combustion engine applications, this paper carried out the following studies. (1) to analyze the characteristics of the various types of power transmission mechanism is proposed a new research idea of ??the power transmission mechanism, i.e., through the overrunning clutch between the output shaft and the piston add canceled rigid motion between the two connections, and in the piston by pressure, to ensure to the maximum effective thrust generated torque and the larger the stroke of the output energy, thereby improving the energy conversion efficiency; (2) using a new type of internal combustion engine of the the rack - overrunning clutch power transmission mechanism (referred to as the rack beyond formula explore the structure of the internal combustion engine), including the rack beyond internal combustion engines, a variety of space layout program, and the establishment of the eight-cylinder program main transmission part of the 3D assembly model, kinematics analysis and simulation, camshaft through the piston and gas distribution between add a link mechanism design of new gas distribution system. Study showed that: the the rack beyond type internal combustion engine to set the composition of the piston rack drive type internal combustion engine unit, the unit number and the spatial layout can be configured according to the application fields; the speed of movement of the piston is close to a sine curve, smooth movement; (3) on the flexible body - clutch power transmission mechanism design and dynamics analysis and simulation, including the study of the transmission law between the piston and clutch outer ring, the lateral vibration of the flexible body position, tension, and elastic slip phenomenon, looking suppress the transverse vibration, reduce wear and improve way of the fatigue life. The study showed that: the linear reciprocating motion of the piston through a flexible body driven overrunning clutch outer ring reciprocating rocking movement frequency of the outer ring and the piston, but a slight oscillation in the velocity curve; larger the elastic modulus of the flexible material, the smaller the line density more favorable to reduce the lateral vibration in the transmission process; preload a substantial change of the to select flexible body tension to avoid transmission process in the vicinity of the work load, improve fatigue life, and increase the preload flexible body can improve the transmission ability to reduce the lateral vibration of the flexible body; (4) of the wire rope - beyond the key components in the clutch in the power transmission mechanism design and stress analysis; using the finite element method to optimize the design of the differential reel and check; design wire rope - beyond the test device of the clutch power transmission mechanism, and its dynamics simulation results to experimental verification and further explore the mechanism is applied to the internal combustion engine on the feasibility.
