Chinese medicine decoction of the cellular immune function of patients with malignant tumors

Objective: To investigate the clinical efficacy of the traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)on cellular immune function in patients with malignant tumor.Method: Using retrospective analysis and according to treatment,125 patients with malignant tumor inpatients,were randomized into control group(n=16), immune therapy group(n=11),TCM group(n=52) and joint group (immunotherapy adds TCM) (n=46),using Microsoft Access 2007 to create database. Observing T-lymphocyte subgroups (CD4+, CD8+, CD4+/CD8+) in four groups before and after the treatment, and observing the change variation of CD4+/CD8+ between groups before and after treatment. In addition to look at gender, age and KPS having influence on the level of T-lymphocyte subsets.Results:1. After treatment CD4+ in Immune group, TCM group, joint group was significantly increased, but CD4+ was significantly reduced in control group (P<0.05). CD8+ in TCM group and joint group was relatively lower than pre-treatment obviously (P<0.05), immune group did not decrease obviously (P>0.05), and the control group CD8+ level significantly increased (P<0.05). Before treatment CD4+ has no obvious difference between groups (P>0.05), CD8+ except immune group, the rest of the groups have no obvious difference (P>0.05). After treatment, TCM group, immune group and joint group which CD4+ increased significantly ,compared with control group(P<0.05), CD8+ except the immune group, other two groups were reduced significantly compared with control group(P<0.05).2. After treatment CD4+/CD8+ in Immune group, TCM group and joint group was significantly increased(P<0.05), and the control group was reduced signifcantly (P<0.05). Before treatment, TCM group,immune group and joint group compared with control group have no obvious difference(P >0.05), and after treatment there was a significant difference between the three groups and control group (P<0.05). And after treatment CD4+/CD8+ in control group, a 25% lower than before treatment, TCM group, immune group and joint group were increased, in turn for 26%, 36%, 33%.3. Factors such as gender, age had no influence on the level of T-lympho cyte subsets in patients with malignant tumor ,and CD4+ in KPS≤50 points patients were obviously less than KPS>50 points, between them there was significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion:1. TCM can be significantly improved the treatmentresult malignant tumors, the body’s cells of the immune function, clinical treatment has certain directive significance.2. Malignant tumor patients’ cellular immune function has no obvious relationship with gender and age;but has close relationship with physically score (KPS).
