This article draws on theoretical research and practical experience research results of competence, through in-depth interviews method, open questionnaire survey method, expert consultation method, statistical analysis method, analytic hierarchy process and so on, selected the 30 tutor of postgraduate nursing students from the national conducted questionnaire surveys, to construct " the competence index system of tutor of postgraduate nursing students " .Research PurposeThe study was to preliminary construct the competence index system of tutor of postgraduate nursing students with a variety of research methods, to provide objective reference criteria for the cultivation, selection, assessment, appointment of tutor of postgraduate nursing students, to further promote the professional development of tutor of postgraduate nursing students in our country.ObjectiveAccording to experts selection criteria, the research team repeated discussions, should pay attention to subjects representative of the selected experts, to consider the geographical distribution and the proportion of experts at all levels, and ultimately select national nursing education, nursing management, nursing research, clinical care, Medical education, nursing and psychological of 6 areas of 30 nursing experts, throughout the country seven provinces / municipalities, involving 8 universities offering nursing education master degree, and 10 hospitals of (Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan regions not involved in this study).MethodsThrough literature search method, theoretical analysis method, open questionnaire survey method, in-depth interview method and so on, initially construct the competence index system of tutor of postgraduate nursing students. By Delphi expert consultation method (Delphi) investigate 30 selected experts for two surveys, to consultation the entry, content, index level, and behavioral describe of the index system, application Excel2003 and SPSS13.0 software for data processing, and application analytic hierarchy process (AHP) to determine weights to construct the competence index system of tutor of postgraduate nursing students .Results1. The representation and the predict reliability of experts By qualitative analysis of the basic information of experts and quantitative analysis of degree of expert authority, showing experts have better representation and authority. two rounds of expert consultation recoveries were 83.33 % and 100%, indicating that experts have highly motivated; the indicators of central tendency is increasingly clear, the coefficient of variation tends to decrease, coordination coefficient tends to increase, indicating that experts have higher degree of coordination.2. Construction on the competence index system of tutor of postgraduate nursing studentsUsing Likert-type scale 5 point scoring system (5 is the most important, 4 is important, 3 is general importance, 2 is not important, 1 is the most unimportant). According to the screening criteria( each index mean> 3.5, out of more than> 0.20, coefficient of variation <0.25, and combined with the opinions of experts, screening and changing indicators, initial construction on the competence index system of tutor of postgraduate nursing students.3. To determine the weights of indicatorsAccording to the experts rate the importance of indicators, using analytic hierarchy process (AHP) to determine weights.ConclusionBy the consultation of 30 experts, initial construction the competence index system of tutor of postgraduate nursing students.1. Using Delphi expert consultation method (Delphi) to construction on the competence index system of tutor of postgraduate nursing students, the system includes personal qualities, work quality, research ability, teaching ability of 4 first indicators, 11 second indicators and 40 third indicators, each indicator contains the entry name, entry contents, index levels and behavioral descriptions.2. 40 third indicators of the competence index system of tutor of postgraduate nursing students, ranking from highest to lowest by weight, the top 15 are: academic ethics and academic standards (0.0778), teacher ethics (0.0637), self-learning and self-education ability (0.0573), interpersonal communication skills (0.0568), responsibility and positive (0.0469), firm nursing career beliefs (0.0469), team and organizational collaboration (0.0381), host to participate in academic activities and internal and external research review (0.0366 ), critical thinking skills (0.0340), stress management and coping skills (0.0340), collect data and field research conditions (0.0336), work innovation (0.0278), decision-making capacity (0.0278), the opportunity of external academic exchanges for postgraduate nursing student (0.0275), ability to access information (0.0264), professional knowledge and recent developments (0.0256), hold office in various academic bodies and academic journals (0.0245), skills of finding and solving the research questions (0.0238).
