Code-switching refers to the wheel or in the same words are used interchangeably Turn consecutive two or more languages ??of the phenomenon. In this paper, Jef Verschueren (1999) proposed on the basis of linguistic adaptation , while applied Guodong 2001 proposed code-switching compliance model, from the perspective of pragmatics discussed the college English classroom teacher code-switching phenomenon particular focus on its compliance. In this paper, Jef Verschueren 's Linguistic Adaptation Theory and Yu Guodong code switching conform model is based on a Hunan University School of Foreign Languages ??6 English teachers and teaching classes 272 college freshmen and sophomores ( non- English ) for classroom observation , interviews, recordings and questionnaires . Get a lot of material for serious discussion and analysis , and found a college English teachers in the classroom use of code-switching some rules . First, college English teachers in the classroom are commonly used in various forms of code-switching . Second , the teacher in the classroom code-switching is a response to the process , in order to conform to linguistic reality , social conventions , teachers' roles and teachers to achieve some kind of psychological motivations teaching purposes . Through the survey found that most of the students accepted and endorsed the English teachers in teaching the timely and appropriate use of Chinese , and that this helps them to understand lectures , analysis of difficult grammar syntactic structure , regulation, active classroom atmosphere and so on. These conform not only explains the teacher in the classroom to achieve code-switching between English and Chinese theoretical basis , but also opened up a new code-switching research perspective . In short, the mother tongue as an intermediate carrier, in foreign language teaching plays an essential role. Through this paper the results of investigation and analysis on College English Teaching has some significance and role in promoting education , we want to contribute to college English teaching .
