The new basic education curriculum reform is a major change in the system and the concept of the original course, to achieve the goal of this curriculum reform, the key point is how to get teachers to accept the new curriculum ideas and understanding of the new curriculum, and to change its role to new courses toward class classroom level, the course of the ideal into reality programs. Teachers plays a key role in this curriculum reform, the implementation of the basic education curriculum reform, primary and secondary school teachers to actively adapt to the requirements of the development of the times, efforts to update the concept of education, in a timely manner to the changing role of. English education in rural areas is relatively weak, which presented a greater challenge to the rural English teachers. Then, the teachers 'role can change? Author relying Chongqing Tin Ka Ping Foundation to assist poverty-stricken areas of Chongqing primary and secondary school English teacher training project, case studies whether the transformation of rural junior high school English teachers' roles. This study selected three from the same county, different types of school, junior high school English teachers, interviews, gather with their educational philosophy, teaching methods, teaching evaluation, curriculum resources utilization and development and self-development data and data analysis, and then combine the data collected through the teaching and research long teaching and research staff interviews, analysis of the main factors affecting the changing role of rural junior high school English teachers, and finally asked the rural junior high school English teachers in the role of the smooth transition strategy. The survey found that rural junior high school English teachers to attend the training has not merely to impart knowledge, they headed learners, mentors, facilitators, curriculum resource utilization and developers a variety of changes in the roles, but in the process of changing case to some of the problems, the main problem: the concept behind education, their quality is not high; treatment, heavy workload; teacher evaluation system lag; school teaching resource shortages; fewer opportunities for teacher training, training effectiveness. Based on the problem, the paper proposes the following coping strategies: changing concepts of education, improve their own quality; increasing investment in education, science and configure a secondary school English teaching resources; build efficient training system for junior high school English teachers; reform English learning evaluation system; strengthen school-based research; establish development teacher evaluation system and creation of conducive environment for the development of the English teachers strategies. Can conclude that through this study: teachers' roles change, teachers' roles change process is gradual, and teachers' roles into conditions that rural junior high school English teachers role can be transformed, the rural junior high school English teachers in the changing role of the process is gradual, conditions in different areas at the same time need to protect.
