With the development of multimedia technology and network communication technology, the distance computer teaching based on the Internet, as a kind of entirely-new teaching method, has received more and more attention. Question-answering is the essential part in the distance computer teaching, closely related to the quality of web teaching. Thus, an intelligent Answering System needs programming to complete some repetitive question-answering work done by the teachers.This article points out that the effect of current intelligent Answering Systems based on Web is not satisfactory. It ignores the interactive experience between questioning and answering with the help of the Answering System. Ajax technology has a great advantage for this type of intelligent question-answering system that needs frequent interaction with the server. Asp.net AJAX framework of Microsoft is by far the most complete and powerful encapsulation for AJAX technology. Hence, the design of intelligent question-answering system Web platform based on asp.net AJAX technology has come into being.This system mainly includes six parts: student module, teacher module, administrator module, question module, knowledge module and RSS module. They are connected by Data service module. Knowledge module is the foundation of this system. Its design is closely related to the operation speed and efficiency of the whole system. Besides, its content is expressed by the means of framework. The key point of the system is the student module, which mainly includes checking legacy, asking questions, and checking the question records. Asking questions function is to ask questions, also including comments on the questions. The teacher module includes the functions of handling unanswered questions and the management of the knowledge base. As the key function of this module, the management of the knowledge base involves adding, deleting and modifying questions. RSS module mainly subscribes to establish an RSS reader to expand knowledge repository. Administrator module is to add, delete and modify three users and the knowledge repository. Question module uses XML to express the questions raised by the students.This article contains five chapters. The first chapter deals with the research on the current situation of this system and the second describes the related technology. Then, the third and the fourth chapter hold a discussion on the process of its design, implementation, test and evaluation in details. Finally, the fifth chapter talks about the unsolved problems and resolutions after summing up the features of this system.
