Objective To investigate the blood of patients with type 2 diabetes , urinary complement activation fragment C5a content change its relationship with diabetic nephropathy . Elections of 39 patients with type 2 diabetes , 21 healthy volunteers as controls , testing blood, urine and plasma concentration of C5a high-sensitivity C -reactive protein , urine albumin excretion rate , analyze their relationship . Results Compared with control group , patients with type 2 diabetes C5a levels in urine increased (11.4 ± 21.1 than 76.3 ± 144.4, P = 0.046), no significant changes in blood C5a , C5a in urine and urinary albumin excretion rate positively correlated (r = 0.378, P = 0.023), duration of diabetes , urine C5a urinary albumin excretion rate is an independent predictor . Conclusion complement activation may be associated with the occurrence of diabetic nephropathy .
