Ephedra (Ephedra sinica Stapf.) Ephedra plants in China's major producing provinces in the northeast, north, northwest, Yunnan, Tibet. The Chinese Pharmacopoeia contain Ephedra (Ephedra sinica Stapf.) In ephedra (Eintermedia Schrenk et CAMey.), Equisetina-(E.equisetina Bge.) Statutory genuine ephedra-based source plant. Ephedra has the effect of sweating, asthma, benefits of water, used for the treatment of exogenous cold sweat of the disease, Xuanfei gas and sweating solution form. Ephedra as a traditional Chinese herbal medicine, has been very in-depth study of its chemical constituents and pharmacological activities of domestic and foreign scholars, isolated from the three species were identified including amphetamine alkaloids, flavonoids, organic acids, such as many types of chemical composition. At the same time, as to carry herbal specificity analysis of a series of one, in order to carry out a study of exclusive control substance ephedra, on the basis of the chemical composition of ephedra view of this genus have a variety of pharmacological effects, but also further search for natural active compounds, the paper herbaceous stem of Ephedra system of chemical separation and detection of pharmacological activity. Organic solvent extraction, extraction, silica gel and gel column chromatography from Ephedra herbaceous stems 85% ethanol extract isolated 30 compounds were identified of which 28, including four amphetamine-type alkaloids: Ephedra ah azole ketone (Ephedroxane, 1), ephedrine (1-Ephedrine, 2), the pseudo-ephedrine (d-Pseudoephedrine, 3), N-methyl ephedrine quinoline alkaloids (N-Methylephedrine, 4); 1: 6 - the methoxy kynurenic acid (6-Methoxykynurenic acid, 5); imines alkaloids: (±) -1 - phenyl - 2 - imino -1 - propanol (1-phenyl-2 -imido is-1-propanol, 6); 7 flavonoids: vitexin (Vitexin, 7), quercetin (Quercetin, 8), rutin (Rutin, 9), cotton flavin -8 - A ether 3 - glucoside (Herbacetin 8-methylether 3-glucoside, 10), the of luteolin (Luteolin, 11) of kaempferol (Kaempferol, 12), kaempferol - 3 - glucose -7 - rhamnoside (Kaempferol 3 glucoside 7-rhamnoside, 13); flavanone compounds: hesperidin (Hesperidin, 14); organic acid compounds: benzoate (Benzoic acid, 15), trans-cinnamic acid (trans-Cinnamic acid, 16), caffeic acid (caffeic acid, 17), p-hydroxyphenyl acetic acid (p-Hydroxyphenylacetin acid, 18), chlorogenic acid (Chlorogenic acid, 19), protocatechuic acid (protocatechuic acid, 20); phenolic compounds: azalea alcohol glucoside (Rhododendrol4'-O-β-D-glucopyranoside, 21), para-aminophenol (p-aminophenol, 22); 2 anthraquinone-based compound: emodin methyl ether (physcion,, 23) rhein (Rhein, 24); naphthaline compound :1-methyl-Naphtho [2,3-d] [1,3] dioxole-6-carboxylic acid methyl ester (25); 1-carboxylic acid-based compound : 5 - (Hydroxy-isopropyl)-cyclohexenecarboxylic acid (26); other classes of compounds: guanine (of Adenine, 27), the daucosterol (β-Sitosteryl-3-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside, 28). Compounds 6,25,26 a new compound 7,13,14,18,21,22,23,24,27 for the first time from this plant were isolated. In addition a preliminary anti-tumor, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and hypoglycemic activity detection of isolated compounds, currently no significant activity screening results. The paper further discussed Ephedra ~ 1H NMR fingerprint analysis method, analysis of the six different purchase land Ephedra dry grass stems. By ~ 1H NMR studies of each monomer components and plant specificity comparison of controlled substances (CSPD) completed the fingerprinting of Ephedra ~ 1H NMR signal vesting, the results show that: the six samples showing the main same characteristic resonance signal, and are in good agreement accurately reflects the characteristics of the chemical composition of the of the Ephedra herbaceous stem; for purchasing different places, the main ingredient in all samples the relative content of different cause some signal relative strength differences, This grass is also a feature of ephedra CSPD B ~ 1H NMR spectrum.
