An Analysis on the Acquisition of Intermediate and Andvanced Vietnamese Students’ Learning of the Common Chinese Modal Adverbs

According to the theory of interlanguage and the theory of inherent theoretical framework and natural order,we made a study on the 40 common Chinese modal adverbs being acquired process of Vietnamese students who are in the intermediate and advanced stages by adopting the method of error analysis and applied analysis and so on.The paper is made of five parts:The first part,within the grading standards of the level of Chinese and the grammar class outline,based on the eight hundred words in modern Chinese,function words dictionary of modern Chinese by Zhang bin and function words dictionary of modern Chinese by Hou xuechao,refers to the points of view of Zhang yisheng and Yang defeng, we selected the 40 common Chinese modal adverbs which we will study, then interpreted the methods of study.The third part,through grammar tests,we studied the 40 common Chinese modal adverbs being acquired situation of intermediate and advanced Vietnamese students by quantitative analysis.We had almost arranged the acquisition order of the 40 common Chinese modal adverbs of the intermediate and advanced Vietnamese students.We inspected the result by using the statistical method,and investigated the cause for the acquisition sequence.The fourth part,we induced the error types made by the intermediate and advanced Vietnamese students,they can be classified into two major types:dominant errors and recessive errors.Then we analyzed the reasons of errors which mainly included the following four aspects:the negative transference of the mother language,the influence of the target language,the unsuitable compilation of the textbooks and the learning strategies of the students.The last part,Aiming at avoiding these errors and acquisition sequence,we gave some advice on the textbooks,outline of teaching and methods of teaching.
