Virtual design can minimize production costs and shorten the development cycle , improve the core competitiveness of enterprises is the era of knowledge economy , is the technical foundation for enterprise innovative design . Knowledge base as a key technology in the virtual design is an intelligent database , a collection of various data for use in the production process , rules and field experience . Therefore, based on the knowledge base of the development and application of virtual design system has important theoretical and practical significance . Based on fuzzy sets , rough sets mathematical theory to build cars alloy wheels virtual design knowledge base the discrete car alloy wheels design process knowledge , including design data , design rules and design experience , reorganization , in an appropriate form easy instance and rule-based reasoning . On this basis, the use of UG secondary development tools GRIP developed set embedded in the UG platform \modeling of each module , thus completing the three-dimensional shape of the entire passenger car aluminum wheel products . Finally, the cars alloy wheels experimental methods , simulation using ANSYS software designed car alloy wheels bending fatigue , radial fatigue and impact tests , and improve the system . Cars alloy wheels virtual design system based on knowledge base can significantly shorten the cars alloy wheels design cycle and improve design efficiency.
