Research on the Relationship between Work Stress and Job Performance of Civil Servants at the Basic Level

Social management affairs , the transformation of government functions and public civil servants , especially the rise of the expectations and demands of junior civil servants , the junior civil servants working pressure increases . How to effectively improve the grassroots civil servants pressure situation and promote the performance of the group 's work , both related to the physical and mental health of the civil service groups working relationship with the Government's performance , or even related to the government 's image in the public mind . The study of junior civil servants work pressure and job performance has important theoretical value and practical significance . The object of this paper is a grass-roots civil service system to explore the relationship between the analysis of junior civil servants work pressure and job performance . Combination of grass-roots civil servants on the basis of theoretical analysis , group characteristics to build a conceptual model of this paper , and put forward five hypotheses . Hypothesis elaborated work pressure and job performance differences in demographic characteristics , the relationship between job stress and job performance , the relationship between the various dimensions of work pressure and job performance dimensions and work pressure benign and inferior properties . In this paper, the use of empirical survey the Tangshan City counties , for example , using a random sampling method , select Tangshan City counties of junior civil servants for data collection . The questionnaires were distributed and 220 copies , 166 copies of valid questionnaires , the effective rate was 84.6 % . Then , use SPSS17.0 statistical software correlation and regression analysis , to test the hypothesis . The research results are as follows : (1) job stress, job performance differences due to personal background characteristics . (2) overall Tangshan City counties of junior civil servants working pressure is high. Pressure and tasks of the organization operating mechanism with the environment itself, the pressure is the pressure source of the two most junior civil servants . ( 3) work stress and job performance is negatively correlated . ( 4) working pressure , has a dual role attributes : benign and inferiority , eustress is positively related to job performance , negative correlation inferiority stress and job performance . The organization operating mechanism and environmental pressure and task pressure is eustress . The role of cognitive , career development, interpersonal pressure belongs to the noninferiority pressure .
