Optimization of Urban Industrial Structure Based on DEA

Since the reform and opening up, great achievements have been made in the development of Chinese towns, and the numbers of urban towns has increased dramatically. But the efficiency of using energy resources is relevantly low, and problems become more and more obvious, like the blindness of industry development. Such problems have impact on the healthy and sustainable development of urban areas severely, and also influence our society construction pace of resource conservation and environment friendly.Based on the industrial structure optimization theory and constructing the assessment indicator system of industrial structure optimization, this paper chooses districts for empirical research by applying the DEA industrial structure optimization model and method. Through combining theory with practice, this paper points out the existing problems and refining industry structure optimization method, this provides reference basis of industry structure optimization in towns in the future.The main contents of this paper divide into three parts. The first part presents the related concept and theory of industrial structure, including the formation and development of the industrial structure optimization, evolution rule, the industrial structure optimization theory, and the evaluation model. The second part constructs the industrial structure optimization index system, based on analysis of urban industrial structure. The third part states the industrial structure optimization measures and suggestions based on the industrial structure of DEA model and method, an empirical analysis and calculation of the 11 counties in HUNAN Province, six counties in Zhengzhou district and Jiangsu Province, which could be applied in the future research.
