Objective: To investigate the mechanism of injury of traumatic optic nerve injury , diagnosis and treatment of ways and means , the timing of surgery , treatment principles and prognostic factors , summarizes the current progress of clinical diagnosis and treatment , improve clinician awareness of the disease and the diagnosis and treatment . METHODS: We reported 6 cases , 4 males and 2 females , aged 19-36 years , were a car accident or falling from height injury , and with varying degrees of vision loss ( blindness) , loss of vision , fronto-orbital skin trauma, typical Gunn phenomenon , varying degrees of eye movement disorders . Prompt different parts of the optic canal CT and three-dimensional reconstruction of facial and optic wall fractures. Are to be clinical and surgical treatment . Summarize the diagnosis and treatment of experience , combined with domestic and foreign literature , retrospective analysis of the mechanism of injury of the disease , and the timing of treatment , and prognosis . Results: 2-23 months follow-up , the results of light perception in 4 cases of preoperative visual acuity improved to varying degrees , Invalid blind patients in the two cases before surgery . Conclusion: 1. Drugs supplemented by the optic canal decompression in the treatment , compared the efficacy of drug treatment alone exact . Blind patients after injury , although the line under reduced pressure and drug treatment , but the prognosis is poor . The prognosis is related to the degree of injury . 2 . Cranial optic nerve decompression vision , not only to achieve decompression of the optic nerve , also reached the ophthalmic artery decompression . Can be dealt with intracranial hematoma and cerebrospinal fluid rhinorrhea . Fewer cases , controlled study in the medical and surgical treatment of the timing of surgery , surgical approach control failed to form a regression analysis , hope , can carry a larger deeper exploration .
