Background and Purpose incidence of ovarian cancer among the female genital malignancies , but its mortality rate is among the first of various types of gynecologic cancer , according to statistics , 70% of patients diagnosed until the advanced stages of life , the majority of women a serious threat to health . The reason is that ovarian cancer is difficult to achieve due to the location of deep in the early detection , diagnosis, treatment . In recent years, many tumor suppressor gene methylation and loss of heterozygosity results suggest that these two mechanisms plays a very important role in the occurrence and development of malignant tumors , may provide new ideas for the future diagnosis and treatment of malignant tumors and methods. TES is a novel tumor suppressor gene , located on human chromosome 7q31.2 FRA7G fragile sites , the exercise of the function of tumor suppressor genes in the tumors of epithelial origin . TES gene in ovarian not been reported. The study is to start by detecting ovarian cancer TES gene promoter region methylation and loss of heterozygosity analyze the TES gene expression of the relationship , in order to further confirm the tumor suppressor function of TES gene for ovarian cancer Combat provide new targets . Methods immunohistochemistry to study the level of the TES protein expression in ovarian cancer tissues ; methylation- specific polymerase chain reaction to detect ovarian cancer TES gene promoter region methylation status and analysis of promoter methylation relationship between the state and the gene expression ; polymerase chain reaction and denaturing polyacrylamide gel detection of ovarian cancer tissue , loss of heterozygosity , and analysis of TES loss of heterozygosity and the TES gene expression between ; results immunization staining results showed that: ovarian cancer the TES protein expression positive rate was 43.9 % (18 /41) ; the TES gene promoter region methylation detected in 36.5% ( 15 /41) of ovarian cancer , were statistically the analysis showed that the the TES protein levels and its promoter region methylation in loss of heterozygosity with TES protein detected in 34.6% (9/ 26 ) ovarian cancer ( p = 0.001 ) ; ( p = 0.037 ) ; Conclusion 1. ovarian cancer the TES gene expression level was significantly reduced ; 2.TES gene promoter region methylation and loss of heterozygosity in the two mechanisms is its low expression in ovarian cancer ;
