Whether it is in the literary classics, or in the day-to-day communication, we will find, sometimes influenced by some factors, the speaker will be tactful and tortuous way to implicitly express their ideas, then, the true meaning of the speaker is not directly reflected by the basic meaning of the words. Belong to the significance of this implicit irony is, it is widely present in various languages. Irony as a common language phenomenon, ironically humorous effect, Russian written and spoken very widely, its universality has attracted more and more attention from scholars. The irony of the beginning of the study period in Greece, and has been for more than 2,000 years of history. Traditional language study, the irony has been as a rhetorical phenomenon are concerned about the rhetorician and literary critic. The 1970s, semantics, pragmatics rise of science, psychology, linguistics and cognitive linguistics is the irony of the study provides a new perspective. With the rise and development of modern linguistics, people try to carry out more in-depth understanding of the essence of irony from all angles. This article intends to study Russian irony from a linguistic point of view, the text is divided into five major parts: brief introductory section on previous research in the field situation, and pointed out the theoretical and practical significance of the thesis, clear the purpose of the paper, task, and a brief research methods. The first chapter introduces the the Russian irony basic characteristics. This chapter includes the overall definition of Russian irony, and Russian irony broadly categorized, mainly based on semantic features classification, the irony is divided into positive, then anti-said, and the irony is that two. The second chapter describes the means of composition irony. This chapter is mainly from the lexical the means, syntactic means and auxiliary means to study the composition of the irony. The third chapter introduces the irony pragmatic characteristics. This chapter from the pragmatic school angle of irony analysis studies, mainly with reference to the principle of Grice's cooperation session principle and politeness principle and Austin's speech act theory. Irony is different from the expression of the phenomenon in other languages, so speakers use irony to express their own unique emotional, such as sarcastic mockery, implicitly denied, humorous, cordial and witty to increase interpersonal interesting.
