Multi-focus image fusion technology is an emerging technology in the field of image fusion, and can solve the problem of image blurring caused part because the focus is not on all the objects in the target scene to facilitate further analysis of the image processing. This paper studies the multi-focus image fusion algorithm based on wavelet transform. Based on the theory of wavelet transform, multi-focus image can be decomposed into approximation image and details part, the human visual system is very sensitive to changes in the local details contrast of the image, then the wavelet transform image local contrast, will be more good fusion effect of the ideal. The main content of this paper is as follows: (1) analysis of the wavelet transform theory used multi-focus image fusion algorithm to determine the multifocus image fusion algorithm based on the frequency domain, the image wavelet transform in the frequency domain to choose the fusion rules the fusion treatment; (2) analysis of an adaptive multi-focus image fusion algorithm, the algorithm improves the simple select max algorithm drawbacks, as in the high-frequency part of the wavelet coefficients factor weights calculated Finally, can be a useful information source image fusion image; (3) analysis of a multi-focus image fusion based on the contrast, the algorithm to image local contrast as the theoretical basis, defined contrast wavelet high frequency direction and certain rules to calculate the direction of the wavelet contrast, final fused image to obtain better meet the characteristics of the human eye; (4) adaptive multi-focus image fusion algorithm based contrast multifocus image fusion algorithm based on the proposed An improved adaptive image fusion algorithm based on wavelet direction contrast, the algorithm combines the advantages of the previous two algorithms, not only able to retain the useful information to participate in the integration of the source image, but also be able to meet the characteristics of the human visual system, The fusion method is an effective and feasible; (5) the optimum number of layers of the wavelet decomposition are discussed, the fusion results and experimental data obtained under the various levels of the comparison, to determine the optimum number of layers of the wavelet decomposition.
