Ernest Hemingway (1899-1961) is one of the most famous writers in the United States, is also the winner of the 1954 Nobel Prize for Literature. Hemingway and Hemingway's life has been favored by numerous scholars and critics. Hemingway's works, the focus of previous studies is that his novels and novellas. By contrast, the study of his short stories are relatively weak. However, in recent years, Hemingway gradually being academic attention. Artistic articles of Hemingway's short stories as well as the works have been brought forth more and more discussed. Most of which is in Hemingway's artistic style, such as his; iceberg principle. Some focus on aspects of the life of the author of the study. In addition to the study of Hemingway's writing style, many scholars and critics of his short stories li reflect existentialist attitude as well as his religious and love. However, very few people from the dialogue language and literature or discourse language with the perspective, and reflect his superb writing art by exploring the dialogue of the characters in his short stories. Pragmatics, an interdisciplinary linguistics, functional linguistics, aimed at the study of language use in the language phenomenon, effect and process; breakthrough has been made in many areas of discourse analysis to date, but also the Literary Pragmatics school field shows potential strong explanatory power.
