Training Project Management Research and Practice Issues

In recent years, domestic enterprises are putting more emphasis on staff education and training to update the staff’s knowledge structure, thus promoting sustainable development of the enterprises. A large number of training institutions emerged in a short period of time but the quality is hard to ensure due to the lack of the unified standards in the education industry.As a national training base, S institute, as a leading education organization in Shanghai, has always been trying to improve the quality of their training programs. But there are still many problems in the program management because of the imperfection of risk management, the restriction of organizational structure and the lack of team building.The thesis explores these existing problems through theoretical analyses and practical operations. By taking S institute’s actual management as an example, the thesis discusses the following issues:Dividing the entire training process into four phases (project negotiation, project establishment, project implementation and project concluding) by WBS and the establishment of the milestone according to the following steps. First, establishing the risk management control flow of training project by way of subsection control. Second, a evaluating the project risk in order to focus on the risks which need to be controlled and prevented in each phrase, and finally to bring up the relevant solutions.Resource library is an essential element in project management. As the core competence of a training project, course arrangement and teachers’ quality should effectively integrate with the administration of resource library and the information system, so that resource library is able to bring out the best results in project management. The thesis aims to provide a brand new teaching resource management mode which based on S institute’s actual organization.
