Transmission line as an important part of the grid, pass through mountains, hills, mined out, rivers and other variety of terrain. As the complexity of geologic and landform features along the routes, the areas often encounter thunderstorms, heavy dirt, bird damage, icing, strong winds and other extreme weather conditions, which lead to the frequent failure of transmission lines and the serious threat to the safe operation of power grid.Currently, the PMS system that has already put into operation by the State Grid Corporation provides a wealth of transmission line basic information. Various on-line monitoring terminals of lines feature parameters provide real-time data, so, this thesis has researched on the intelligent decision system for transmission line condition-based maintenance that can visually display and deeply mining these massive data, concentrative monitor device status and environmental parameters changes, through analysis, comparison and discrimination of huge volumes of data, it can realize transmission line condition monitoring, fault diagnosis, risk assessment and life prediction, timely detection of line operation potential risks, in order to take measures in advance. Even if some fault has occurred, this system is also able to accurately determine the fault type, places, reasons for the fault, and provide corresponding recommendations for the fault and exception.Firstly, under the background of the smart grid construction, the thesis analyzes the development process and difficulties face at present stage of the transmission line, then, presents the intelligent decision system for transmission line condition-based maintenance in order to improve reliability of line operation.Secondly, the thesis elaborates the development of the intelligent decision system for transmission line condition-based maintenance, which is on the basis of Oracle lOg database and J2EE technology, the object-oriented component technology and multi-layer architecture of J2EE can bring hierarchical deployment to the system. In order to achieve good expansion& upgrade and flexible functional configuration through the modular design, at the same time, in order to achieve sharing and exchanging of the basis data resources by mature data exchange platform.Then, the overall design of the intelligent decision system for transmission line condition-based maintenance is descried concretely, including its concept, development target, design discipline, system architecture and function which can be achieved by the system. And on this basis, fault diagnosis expert system as the core part of the intelligent decision system for transmission line condition-based maintenance is analyzed intensively, including its characteristics, design framework, business function and expert knowledge base.Lastly, taking transmission line icing as an example, which is used to explaining function realization processes of each part in this system.
