The development of rail transport promotes the equipment manufacturers of rail vehicles to continue to invest more in their products. KN, a better one of manufacturers who produce rail transit auto-door, has increased its research on the vehicle door to improve its competitiveness and leadership. In this paper condition monitoring, diagnosis and maintenance decision experiment system of Rail Transit Auto-door(RTAD-CMDMDES) is studied and designed and it will help a lot in the company’s deep research.Firstly, the demand analysis of RTAD-CMDMDES is done, and the structure of experimental platforms is designed to be of centralized control and management. And the paper establishes overall structure including hardware layer, driver layer, communication layer, functional layer functional layer and application layer and each layer is designed with particular description.Secondly, distributed data acquisition system is studied and it is used in the data acquisition system of RTAD-MDMDES. Microcontroller ATMEGA16, sensors, and the hardware modules are chose for the system and function modules of data acquisition system are designed, and the detailed circuits of each part including the CPU module, the system power module, the sampling circuit module, display module, real-time clock module, communication module, watchdog module and download module are designed and displayed.Thirdly, model-based diagnosis and pattern recognition based diagnostic techniques are studied and used in the system. And the model of fault diagnosis system for RTAD-MDMDES is established, and the same time the paper gives out a particular description for the process of diagnosis which contains the simple and precise diagnosis.Fourthly, the maintenance mode decision model and the condition maintenance based cycle model both are studied and applied. Besides, combined maintenance based maintenance mode decision system is studied. Then in the basic three techniques the theoretical model and computer model of maintenance mode decision is established for RTAD-CMDMDES and it will provide the basis for the research and development of RTAD-CMDMDES.Fifthly, RS-485 communication network is designed for RTAD-CMDMDES, including the design of communication interface and data transfer rules. Finally, some realization of RTAD-CMDMDES has come true, including the system settings, real-time monitoring, fault diagnosis, maintenance decision module. And improvement of the system will continue.
