The development of automotive design, to the present, already has a history of a hundred years. The appearance of design, as one of the most important automotive design elements, is becoming increasingly important. With the development of social economy and the growth of the consumers, the demand for individuation and diversification of the vehicle design has become more and more intense. Therefore, what is more and more significant in the car design is the accurate grasp of market trends and the accurate judgement of the future needs of users, which determine the use of the car design in the future.First of all, based on the present situation of the development of automobile modeling design, this study looked back to automobile design on the development history, thereby summarizing its reasons about developing and the influence on vehicle design. Meanwhile, reviewing the automobile modeling design, this study summarized the history of automobile modeling design development law and laid a foundation for future automobile modeling design prospected. Secondly, because of ergonomics and aerodynamic disciplines, this study emphatically analyzed the factors affecting auto modelling design, and summarized the interaction and mutual combination of scientific factors and aesthetic factors of the design of automobile modeling. At the same time, the influence of the auto modeling design market was analyzed through consumers’ characteristics and consumer market features. In the final, this study was carried out by some examples of market and consumer. Aiming at target groups, undertake visual design, by comparing style, feature line extraction from a large number of existing models, etc., before the conclusion of the text as the basis for analyze, summarize, verify the obtained design.Based on the relevant history and theory, this study aimed to provide some references for automobile modeling design in the future by the design practice and meeted the growing consumers’ demand for automotive products.
