Calculation on Radar Cross Section of Electrically Large Targets Modeled with NURBS

Accurate estimate of the radar cross section (RCS) for target recognition database and stealth anti- stealth technology research is of great significance . This paper studies the calculation method of electrically large the ideal conductive target radar cross section . Target model using parametric surfaces based on non - uniform rational B- spline (NURBS) technology established, combined with physical optics theory ( PO ) , the physical theory of diffraction (PTD) high-frequency method to calculate the target 's radar cross-section , in which the physical optics method used in the calculation of the surface contribution to physical theory of diffraction is used to calculate the edge diffraction contribution . Gordon method to deal with the physical optics integral . It also discusses the parametric surface model subdivision , ideas and methods of the shadowing and ray tracing , given a mathematical description . In Fortran program based on the above-mentioned method , and calculated to verify the effectiveness of the method by an example .
