\It is frequently used in daily life , plays an important role in the lives of Chinese people . The face is the key to understanding the Chinese people . 40 years since the 20th century , the Chinese and foreign scholars on the face , has a unique perspective on the nature of the face , features and functions , as well as face concept . Therefore , the face is not only uniquely Chinese concept but prevalent in the concept of culture . Most of the foreign scholars think that the face is the social prestige and reputation . Most Chinese scholars think that the Chinese people face in addition to social , moral aspect of . However, these studies are based on traditional Chinese culture , there is no study was to investigate the face view of the differences between the Chinese young people and the older generation . Growth environment for the development of high-speed changes in young people, there will be a lot of changes in their views on the face it? To answer this question , this article attempts in previous studies and discussed on the basis of the combination of quantitative and qualitative research methods , explore young Chinese concept of face and face - saving strategies . The study is divided into three parts : Part I : On the basis of previous studies discussed above , the concept of Chinese people face and face - saving strategies were reviewed and summarized . Part II: on the basis of the concept of face questionnaire prepared by the previous , make the appropriate changes to facilities measured . T-test , the data were compared between the two groups was whether there were significant differences in views on the face . This basis, the two groups were tested questionnaire data weighting analysis more specific differences . Part III: a case - by - case analysis of how young people in social life, the use of face - saving strategies to solve the problem , establish harmonious interpersonal relationships .
