Evolving in the Internet today , increasing the size of the network , the importance of becoming more associated with the application of more and more , therefore, how the network is becoming increasingly important to the effective management of through the integration of 802.1X and DHCP protocol to ensure reliable operation of the network is an essential exploration and research . 802.1X and DHCP protocols are important in network management protocol, and is also the most used two protocols . Especially with the AAA concept for the increasing number of network managers to accept 802.1X technology is more and more widely . However , because of IEEE 802.1X standard , DHCP belong to the IETF standards , two independent architecture built up in the link layer , and 802.1X , DHCP in the application layer in the TCP / IP network model across the two stratification, the two protocols in the beginning of the design , and is not excessive considering the mutual see collaborative work in the network while using 802.1X and DHCP protocol , there may be a conflict , IEEE are not given the appropriate conflict resolution . Session on the basis of analysis of the the 802.1X and DHCP Agreement conflict and the deficiencies of the existing solutions , the idea of integration 802.1X and DHCP protocol : First re-division of the DHCP protocol , the original four into a now three . Then divided DHCP protocol integrated into the certification process of the 802.1X protocol . Which , in particular , to achieve the sharing of authentication information , which is the largest innovation . Finally , the function of the integrated DHCP packets redistributed. Thus , the completion of the 802.1X and DHCP protocol integration , integrated model is a functional integration of new authentication model for 802.1X and DHCP protocol certification process . From the client 's point of view , while 802.1X controlled port is authorized to obtain the correct network configuration . Finally, experiments on a Linux analog integrated model , the proposed integrated model is feasible , but also proved that 802.1X and DHCP protocol conflict can be reconciled .
