Image Watermarking Research Based on Error Correction Coding

Digital watermarking of multimedia can be viewed as a communications problem in which the watermark must be transmitted and received through a“watermark channel”. Firstly, in order to improve watermarking robustness against distortions and attacks, error correcting codes (ECC) is utilized after chaos plastic. A study of application of shuffling techniques is made within watermarking system and Lorenz mapping method is adopted to improve the security of watermark system. Then, to lay the watermark information in the notable areas of the features, the edge detection algorithm based on fuzzy logic and an algorithm based on ant colony are respectively proposed. The embedding strength was characteristic adaptability with the statistic of the local feature coefficients of the original image.Finally, the logo could be detected and reconstructed by a specifically Kalman filter without the original data from the watermarked image, and would provide indication of the copyright existence. This method makes use of good properties of chaotic sequence, such as ease of generation, sensitive dependence on their initial condition and noise-like statistic characteristics. Experiments show that our watermarking scheme leads to results with good image quality and is robust to withstand most of common signal processing.
