The modern clothing consumption mode has changed from walking consumption to online consumption, but many people have the anxiety about online shopping of clothing. Basing on the surveys, the main reason is that consumers worry about fitness for online shopping of clothing. Research purpose in this paper is to solve the problem, preparing basic theorization for establishing website of recommending professional garment size.A complete website of recommending garment size firstly needs consumer do manual anthropometry, regarding body data input website, and then the website will automatically recommend appropriate garment size for consumer according to the selected clothing. So, anthropometry and size recommending have mainly been studied in this paper respectively.(1)anthropometryAnthropometry part achieves through a series of experiments. Firstly screen anthropometry methods on clothing marketing website at home and abroad, discovery anthropometry methods on clothing marketing website mainly through character and diagram for explain. Experiment 1 has been completed aiming at the conclusion of screen. It’s found that the most important problem is the grasp of the loose of tape. In the following experiment attention has been called to the loose of tape. Experiment 3 has been done based on the conclusion and refines of those two experiments, including the diagram and character in experiment 1 and loose of tape in experiment 2.By experiment the mainly Conclusion is that: loose of tape plays a very impartment role in anthropometry; suggested results of real human diagram is better; suggested results of popular character is better; the one who measures once, the result of accuracy is high.(2)size recommendingSize recommending part begin with theoretical analysis of existing research, carry out some experiments for existing research, and select some representative clothing style to explain existing problems in the theory. Pignet-Vervaeck Index for judging people’s adipose is introduced on the basis of experimental analysis, and the comparison modes of bust-full form、waist-full form、hip-full form and comprehensive evaluation of size are improved. To correct the problems in existing research by this way, perfect the theory of the size recommending of clothing in online shopping.The advantages after corrected are mainly expressed on two sides:①Accuracy of recommended is higher than existing research;②Won’t appear the situation which wouldn’t recommend size.
