Objective: m Eastern Muslim population of hypertension prevalence, awareness , treatment and control rates , hypertension Analysis Hui influencing factors , for the further development of hypertension in the region provide the basis for a comprehensive prevention and control measures . Methods: A cluster random sampling survey methodology in April 2007 to September on m long mountains of the town back to the Eastern Han populations epidemiological survey of hypertension . Completed a total of 1800 people, including 845 Muslim people ( male 412 , female 433 ) ; Han 955 ( male 486 , female 469 ) . According to uniform standards for epidemiological investigation , including questionnaires and physical examination . Questionnaire and blood pressure measurements by trained staff according to internationally accepted methods of measurement and quality control will be finished . Various rates of chi-square test was used to compare . Two independent samples t-test was used to compare the mean . Multiple Logistic regression analysis with risk factors for hypertension screening . Results: m Eastern Muslim population prevalence of hypertension 31.95% , prevalence of hypertension was 26.91% Han , Hui prevalence of hypertension in Han (P lt; 0.05). Hui and Han population the prevalence of hypertension increased with age ; blood pressure increases with age . Hui hypertension awareness of 64.44% , the treatment rate was 57.78% , the control rate was 10.37% ; Han patients with hypertension awareness was 58.37% , the treatment rate was 49.81% , the control rate was 15.18% . Increasing age, salt intake (≥ 6g / d), overweight or obese , and his father is Muslim compatriots history of hypertension risk factors for hypertension . Conclusion : This study showed that the Hui significantly higher prevalence of hypertension , hypertension awareness , treatment and control rate than the national average increase in 2002 , compared with developed countries there are still significant gaps. The incidence of hypertension increases with age , salt intake , overweight or obese , and about his father compatriots history of hypertension . Salt and weight control is important in the area of hypertension prevention measures , the survey further prevention and control of hypertension in the region to provide a scientific basis.
