China is a big resources-rich country; but energy is unfairly distributed. With the character of cleanliness and highly efficient, electrical energy is widely used. However, electrical power transmission is a huge challenge, the maximum the delivery of energy efficiency to the user is a very important issue.As one of the important components of FACTS.TCSC can smooth and fast adjustment in series with the transmission lines in the RMS of capacitance circuit reactance, improve power system of transmission capacity and improve the system transient stability, flexible control in power systems trend, Due to its potential performance benefits and economic benefits, FACTS in every country elected it as practical device in practice.This paper puts forward containing TCSC of reactive power compensation mathematical model. In this reactive compensation model, besides considering transformer, compensation capacitor, generator bus voltages outside, The control variables using TCSC output variables. The power system containing.TCSC device reactive compensation is a complicated nonlinear optimization problems. Traditional mathematical analytical algorithm converges fast and its theory is tight, But it requests strictly reactive compensation problem of differential properties and it always can not converge to the global optimal solution. Modern artificial intelligence algorithm can search solution on the original problem r directly, have fairly good adaptability and can convergence to the global optimal solution in big probability.This paper studies the solution of reactive power compensation equipment containing TCSC devicedeeply. introduces the reactive power compensation in power system of research on the present situation and development process in detail,and analyses nonlinear PID control method appling in reactive compensation problem solving.This paper have summarized the present research situation in TCSC device physical model and engineering application of controllable series compensation device. expounded topic research background and the basic operation principle of TCSC device, discussed the working characteristic of TCSC physical model and impedance adjusting performance. regarding this TCSC physical model research as main object, it have done the work meticulously in the three main areas as TCSC physical model overall solutions and parameter design, simulation and experiment and so on.
