The VHDL Design and Simulating of HDB3 Encoding/Decoding

The requirements of the digital baseband signal , there are two points , the first is the requirements of the various codes , it is desirable to the preparation of the original information symbols into a pattern suitable for transmitting ; second is the requirements for the waveform of the selected pattern , expectations waveform suitable for transmission in the channel . HDB3 coding is commonly used in the transmission of the digital baseband signal transmission code , because it has no DC component , the low-frequency component is less and even the number of zero does not exceed a maximum of three significant advantages , very beneficial to the recovery of a clock signal and become a commonly used one of the transmission codes of the baseband . Based on VHDL design HDB3 encoder / decoder ; serial symbol even zero more than four case solved by inserting the positive and negative polarity level signal reaches its coding requirements . Altera MaxplusII 10.2 tool debugging , simulation , and system testing , the results show that to achieve HDB3 encoder / decoder function . Finally, the HDB3 code in real life also related exposition .
