Study on the Performance Management of Pumped Storage Power Station

As an effective adjustment technology of power grid, pump-up power plant has been well developed in abroad while it has just started in a period of fairly rapid development in China. With large quantities of new such power plants built and put into operation, research and study on the management mode focusing on this kind of plants has been started. As China’s power market has its unique features, there is no existing example to follow for the management mode of pump-up power plants. With long time of development and improvement, performance management theory has much importance in current human resource management and enterprise management and has gained great attention in the study of modern enterprise management.It is of great importance for the pump-up power plant’s smooth development to fully mobilize the energies of workers, raise the competence of the workers, keep continuous improvement of the workers’abilities and organizational performance, and successfully reach the enterprise’s strategic goals under the condition that there is a limit of staff. With good understanding of performance management and his administrative practice, the author is trying to establish performance management system for pump-up power plant and regulate the plant’s management, increase the production levels and promote the stable and rapid development of the enterprise.This thesis is composed of five chapters, which are introduction, literature review, quota management of pump-up power plant, performance management system of pump-up power plant and the operation of performance management system and the control of it for pump-up power plant. Chapter 1 introduces the background of questions and research methods. Chapter 2 gives a literature review about performance management and a brief introduction of the status quo of pump-up power plants of abroad. Chapter 3 brings an analysis of standard contents and quota quantization of staff in pump-up power plants. Chapter 4 focuses on analysis of evaluation system of quota and sets up performance management system. Chapter 5 summarizes the operation of performance management system and points out the flaws of this system.The author is trying to reveal the characteristic features of operation management for pump-up power plants and summarize the optional methods of performance management and offer a reference for domestic pump-up power plants with the study of T pump-up power plants and the establishment of performance management system.
