With the development of machinery, electronics, automotive and aerospace industries , especially in recent years, China's automobile industry to flourish , provided a broad space for metal die casting applications . Die-casting has the advantages of high efficiency, high efficiency and also the high rejection rate, product quality is difficult to guarantee the molding process . The actual production , die casting mold casting row overflow system design is to determine one of the key factors of the die casting product quality . According to the different structure types of die casting mold design , how to design a reasonable pouring the overflow discharge system structure , is one of the important content of the mold design technology research . Based on in-depth analysis of the die-casting metal filling theory and die-casting mold design and technology development status , die-casting mold casting the row overflow system design actual process , the application of the method of combining modern optimization design techniques and CAE analysis technology , a die-casting mold casting row overflow system to optimize the design of the study . Analysis by the flow process of the filling of the liquid metal in the mold cavity of the different structural types , to the molten metal reaches the mold cavity throughout the process shortest for the target , to build a thin - walled plate-type and a thin disc - based die casting mold gate position to optimize the design model , and casting the row overflow system optimization design process slimline wrench die casting mold , shows that the optimal design method to obtain the pouring overflow discharge system structure of the program die casting , liquid metal fill flow pattern and casting quality significantly better than not using casting row overflow system solutions to optimize the design method . By the application PROCAST software simulation also shows that the effectiveness of the optimization model and reduce the number of numerical simulation , increase design efficiency . In this paper, the gate location optimization design method , further casting molds pouring the row overflow system overall optimal design , provides a valid reference .
