In the tokamak device, plasma position measurement is one of the basic and necessary diagnostic tools and it is significant to the device operation and physics experiment, especially to the real-time feedback control of tokamak plasma equilibrium.This paper discusses the magnetic confinement fusion from energetic issues and then talks about tokamak device and its current situation. Next, starting from the relation between plasma equilibrium and position, it gives an all-round introduction of several common methods and their theories to measure plasma position. For example, symmetric probes, single loops, sine or cosine coils and Fourier analysis on magnetic probes, ect.In this paper, we present the process of design and establishment of the plasma position measurement on J-TEXT device. It mainly includes two sets of different systems of measurement: position coils and magnetic probes array, describing in detail their facture, calibration, installation, signal test and so on. Meanwhile, it also gives the analytical and processing methods of data measured by the system, focusing on Fourier analysis of magnetic probes on J-TEXT. In giving the measurement results of plasma position, it also analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of these measurement systems and compares them to the results provided by other diagnostic systems.At the end of the thesis, it gives the application situation of plasma position measurement on J-TEXT and introduces the working process of feedback system formed by this system combined with power system. The result shows that this feedback system gets a better real-time position control during discharging experiment.
