This study adopts the relevant theory of the cultural education, adult education as the theoretical perspective, step into the lives of Tulou People, studies the informal learning of Tulou People, attempt to excavate the characteristics of Tulou culture and its educational functions from the cultural soil of Tulou People’s life, reveals the special educational value of Tulou culture from adult Cultural Home.The large-scale round building "Er Yi lou" is located at the town of xiandu in Hua’an County, Fujian province, which is the Paradigm Construction of "Fujian Earth Building", which is the revelation of traditional Chinese culture in in Minnan region. With its added in the inscription on the list of World Cultural Heritage Sites, and has become another world’s cultural heritage, protecting and exploring Tulou Culture and many problems behind it become more urgent.The author have gone deep into the field of Tulou time and again, utilize the research method of literature, Interview Survey, Oral History and others, study the culture of "Er Yi lou" and its educational functions in rural adult life.This paper retrospects the historical origins and development of the "Er Yi Lou" from three aspects as the objective and subjective factors of "Er Yi Lou" foundation, the profile and development of "Er Yi lou" and the cultural spirit of "Er Yi Lou", and emphasizes on the analysis of the cultural spirit of "Er Yi lou" about building, Confucianism, clan and ocean. On the basis, this paper utilizes the relevance theory of education and culture, life an education and other related theories, combines with the author’s Field research, probe intoeducational functions of the "Er Yi Lou" culture in rural adult life through the following five aspects:1) the "Er Yi Lou" culture and the peasants’language study,2) the "Er Yi Lou" culture and the local and regional economic development,3) the "Er Yi Lou" culture and the inheritance of the traditional folk customs,4) the "Er Yi Lou" culture and interpersonal relationship,5) the "Er Yi Lou" culture and the peasants’education of environmental security, and then unscramble the relationship between Tulou culture and rural adult education, analyze the advantages and disadvantages of functions of Tulou Culture in rural adult life, and reflect on the existent problems behind it. Finally, the author presents some suggestions for the development of excellent Tulou Culture and rural adult education through the deeply studies of the "Er Yi Lou" culture and its educational functions.
