Quality is the lifeline of the enterprises. Enterprises continuously improved the quality of there products or services to meet the needs of their consumers in the competition. And this was not only the premise of enterprises developing in the competition, but also an important driving force of social and economic development. Nowadays, nearly all the companies recognized that quality was the element of competition and gave more and more attention to quality management. As special commodity, automotive focus on quality. The quality of the automotive impacted on the development of the automotive enterprises directly. How to improve the quality management to achieve quality improvement is worthy of study. China Association of Automobile Manufacturers indicated that auto production and sales in China have surpassed the United States in 2009 and been NO.1 in the world. China had large number of automotive, but wasn’t a power in automotive industry. Because Chinese automotive brand had a very small market share. The main reason was that the automotive quality of Chinese brand was worse than the automotive quality of many international brand, especially to the small companies. Last three decades Quality management theory has developed rapidly in China, but few automotive company improved quality through these theory. Many companies made quality strategy, but few of them had successful implementation. This indicated the weak execution of these enterprises. This article researches on quality management problems of small automotive enterprise from the view of execution and found a way to improve execution to improve automotive quality.Through generalizing the theory of execution and quality management, this article discovered the connection of them. Through generalizing quality management theory of Deming, Juran, Crosby and many other quality management master, this article found a lot of elements of total quality management, such as leadership, employee improvement, quality assurance, customer-focused, quality philosophy, information analysis, strategic planning, environment or infrastructure, team building etc. Through generalizing the theory of execution, this article found the premise of execution, which is appropriate leadership. The leaders should have the capability of leading the whole company, establishing execution culture by setting an example, and knowing the capability of their subordinate. Concrete realization of the strategy depended on the rationality of the process (people, strategy and operations). The link between quality management and execution was that the element of quality management correspond with the premise and process of execution. If the company can meet the conditions for execution, quality improvement can be achieved.In this paper, the author surveyed on the quality management of YingTian Company, a small automotive corporation. Senior management had sense of quality and. proposed quality strategy. Although they had done something to approve the quality of product, they didn’t achieve the desired results. Because the company was lack of element of quality management, such as weak execution, lack of quality culture and quality management team, vague strategy etc. The main reason was that the company was lack of execution. And from the view of execution, the reason was that YingTian company was lack of Lack of leadership, staff training, quality management team, operational plans, and quality strategy process wasn’t detailed. So the key point of quality improvement was improving the execution. For improving quality it’s necessary to enhanced leadership, to shape the culture of execution, to improve human resources management system, to make right quality strategies.Total quality management and execution were closely linked. On one hand, execution impacted quality management and other business activities; on the other hand, the process of quality improvement made enterprises improve execution. The key point of execution was clerkship. Execution was determined by the leaders.
