Geographic Information System of the traditional stand-alone mode , the service functions , application functions can no longer meet the needs of the users of the information age . The rapid development of the Internet , to GIS (Geographic Information System) industry has brought new opportunities for development , making the Internet Geographic Information System WebGIS applications increasingly cause for concern . With WebGIS, users can quickly and easily get the spatial data browsing , query and analysis capabilities . Currently, various GIS manufacturers introduced their respective development WebGIS platform . ArcGIS Server is a platform to create enterprise GIS applications , ESRI ArcGIS 9.0 Series new in the same industry first technology of GIS full-featured , enterprise-class server architecture . Based on this state-of-the-art platform , the development of the integrated planning of water resources in Wuhan information inquiry system , provides a great convenience for users to understand the spatial distribution of water resources conditions and access to water resources planning program .
