The radar equipment is the important part of the weapons and equipment of the army and hold a pivotal position in the modern warfare. The higher demands for the equipment maintenance and support work of radar equipment are brought forward for building the information force and winning the information warfare. However, the current use of traditional equipment maintenance and support mode by our army can’t meet the demand. The essay researches how to improve the preformance of radar equipment maintenance and support work using the theory of process reengineering in the context of radar equipment maintenance and support work in some military region ,and wants to offer the evidences for the decision-making of heads of units and the references for deepening the military equipment maintenance and support reform.Firstly,this essay analyses the defects and problems of existing radar equipment maintenance and support mode according to the actual situation of the military equipment maintenance and support work, and then analyses the reasons that produce these problems.This essay improves existing radar equipment maintenance and support mode using the theory of process reengineering, and proposes a new radar equipment maintenance and support mode including the centralized control mode of process of information, staff joint support inside and outside the military/staff forward arrangement mode,maintenance supplies distribution-support mode. The process of information, the process of staff and the process of material of radar equipment maintenance and support work are reegineered based on the new mode. On the basis of these work, this essay constructs an indicator system for the evaluation of the effect of equipment maintenance and support process reengineering including two level there respect eight items and the evaluation programme of the effect of equipment maintenance and support process reengineering based on the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation.Further,this essay applies the new reegineered processes into the pratice of some kind of radar equipment maintenance and support work in some military region, and the results show the new radar equipment maintenance and support mode remarkably improves the preformance of radar equipment maintenance and support work by the comparison of the statistic data and the comprehensive evaluation to the effect of this kind of radar equipment maintenance and support process reengineering based on the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation.At last, this essay advises how to apply the new mode into other High-tech weapons and equipment maintenance and support work by further improving and perfecting the mode.
