Main drug prescription multidimensional data analysis and judgment method

Prescription, the combination of various herbs, is important for the application of Traditional Chinese Medicine. But the compatibility behind herbs is variable. With a research of the formulating principle of "monarch, minister, adjuvant and guide herb", this article simplifies the structure of prescriptions into the primary herbs and the subsidiary herbs, and conducted research on the former which is the core of compatibility of formula, laying a solid foundation for the further research of compatibility of herbs.Therefore, 100 prescriptions from 7th edition Science of Prescription were selected as the research samples and 5 decision dimensions were set up according to the relative theories of TCM. Then the objective and scientific research about the possibility of using Multidimensional Data Analyze Technology was carried out, including the following parts:1) The establishment of the decisional dimension. Through researching the evolutive process concerning the primary herbs and its connotation, this article set 5 decision dimensions covering dosage, nature, flavor, meridian tropism as well as efficacy so as to analyze and differentiate the primary herbs from different angels, which are supposed to be seasoned with TCM theory.2) The data preparation of prescriptions and herbs. The sample was selected according to the sample collection standard and the name of herb, the name of efficacy and dosage were standardized, quantified and conversed, becoming the scientific and analyzable data. Then the concerned datasheet was established to deposit data.3) The decision trial of the primary herbs. With an adoption of multi-dimension analytic method, this article analyzed the primary and secondary status of each herb in the prescription, giving consideration to the 5 aforementioned dimensions. Then the result of each dimension was taken into account to find out the most appropriate primary herbs.4) The validation of decisional results. 63% decisional results were well recognized through comparing the experimental results with the primary herbs in the 7th edition Science of Prescription.In conclusion, the result witnesses a relatively high accuracy, indicating that the adopted method is feasible, which deserves the further study in a more comprehensive way.
