Substation automation technology has in many ways made ??significant technological breakthroughs and significant social and economic benefits , but there are also some of the Statute is not unified difficult transformation clutter information in practical applications . Information collection, transmission and processing of digitized will become an inevitable trend in the construction of substation automation . Digital substation is built on the IEC61850 standard based on intelligent electronic transformer , intelligent switch equipment and networked secondary devices tiered building , information sharing and interoperability between smart electrical equipment modernization substation , the basic characterized in equipment intelligent communications network , the model and the communication protocol is unified . The results of this study will be given based on the application of reasonable system architecture and key technologies of IEC61850 substation automation standard for reference to the development of the power system . The paper first analyzes the status quo and its limitations of the substation automation system , and in-depth study of the content and features of the IEC 61850 series of standards , analysis of the research status and specific applications based on IEC61850 substation automation systems , focusing on digital substation in key technologies in the practical application of the process . The final elaboration of the digital substation , operation, maintenance and management of the impact of electricity enterprises .
