Today , phased array antenna is more widely used in various radio systems for military radar and civilian radar , thus the phase phased array antenna measurement concern . This paper describes a new method for rapid measurement of the characteristics of the phased array antenna using printed dipole as an array of basic radiation unit , and its structure is optimized to achieve low VSWR , wide bandwidth effect ; composed based on the array calculated using the method of moments the unit array pattern . Further , in a linear mathematical model based on showing the phase shifter in any coordination phase state under the direction of view and a gain characteristic . This method , a phased array antenna and the measuring probe are kept fixed , measuring the amplitude of the probe under the different phased array antenna with phase state of the received signal phase, the experimental data using mathematical algorithms for processing optionally with phase state of each channel can be determined excitation amplitude and phase , and thus all the direction diagram based on the results of an experiment will be able to recover. May be equipped with all of the phased array antenna phase looking for some special equipped with phase control, Solving the linear model can be simplified , thereby improving the efficiency of the antenna measurements . As a result of this new technology can greatly reduce the detection time , and its environmental requirements also low , and thus has a strong practical .
