Urinary bladder cancer is the most common malignant tumor, transitional cell carcinoma (TCC) is the most common histological type. Tumor grade, stage is the evaluation of bladder transitional cell carcinoma of the degree of malignancy, the most commonly used predictive prognostic indicators, but due to heterogeneity of tumor biology, grading and staging alone to assess the prognosis has some limitations. Platelet-derived endothelial cell growth factor (PD-ECGF) is an angiogenic factor, most studies suggest that PD-ECGF and bladder tumor grade, tumor recurrence, the prognosis was significantly associated with bladder cancer but its stage, tumor microvessel density ( MVD) related knowledge there are still differences. In this study, 52 cases of bladder transitional cell carcinoma of the paraffin sections using immunohistochemistry to detect the expression of PD-ECGF, coloring microvascular endothelial cells, and a bladder TCC has been confirmed in a strong angiogenic factors - vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) as a control, attempts to explore the PD-ECGF, VEGF and bladder TCC clinicopathological features, MVD relationship. Materials and methods Patients and tissue origin: 1994 to 1995, the First Affiliated Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine Department of Urology 52 patients with primary bladder TCC: male 37 cases, female 15 cases, aged 30 to 79 years, mean 62.8 years; TURBt winner of 32 cases, 19 cases of the Ministry of cut, whole cut one case; single tumor in 32 cases, 20 cases of multiple; initial issuance of 35 cases, 17 cases of recurrence. Tumor grading according to WHO criteria: G 1 grade 17 cases, G 2 grade 27 cases, G 3 8 cases. Clinical stage according to UICC criteria: Tis ~ T 1 is 30 cases, T 2 is 18 cases, T 3 2 cases, T 4 for the two cases. 8 cases of normal bladder tissue, six cases of benign prostatic hyperplasia in patients with bladder tissue, 2 cases of non-normal deaths of fresh bladder tissue, all male, aged 32 to 75 years, mean 64.4 years.
