Urbanization, an important symbol of human progress , has increasingly become the core of a country's economic and social development . China's urbanization level has been more than 37% , is in a period of rapid development . Expected in accordance with the the urbanization law of development of the Western countries , the level of urbanization in China in the next 20 years will be close to 65-70 % , there will be 5-7 million agricultural population into urban population , it will be significant social structure in China and unprecedented social change . The most rapid economic development since the reform and opening up , one of the highest level of urbanization in Suzhou in 2001, the level of urbanization has reached 57.82% , the wave of urbanization sharp increase in the number of farmers lost their land , although they demographic urbanization, but caught up in the lost and unemployment situation , the lack of strong employment support and improve the social security measures , especially in terms of ideas , lifestyle , interpersonal relationships, life relationship , landless peasants into the city life often seem difficult to adapt . , Urbanization and social role theory , drawing on the experience of developed countries , combined with the actual situation in Suzhou , landless peasants to the changing role of the public , to make a preliminary study .
