Relationship between Syndromes of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Depression in Patients with Mild Cognitive Impairment

Objective: To investigate mild cognitive obstacles to TCM syndrome associated with depression , and to provide a basis for MCI Chinese medicine treatment . Methods: This study selected cases from May 2009 to January 2010 , long-term care in the geriatric hospital in Chengdu ( Chengdu nursing homes ) 114 elderly retired cadres , first given clinical Memory Scale ( CMS ) the spirit of the mini-mental state examination ( MMSE ) , Hajinsiji ischemic index score sheet ( HIS ) , Blessed behavior scale test , preliminary screening of normal cognition and mild cognitive impairment ( MCI ) group , and MCI group of syndromes syndrome differentiation, and normal cognition group and MCI group ZUNG 's anxiety Scale (SAS) and ZUNG 's depression self - rating scale (SDS) test , to determine MCI and TCM climate correlation with depression . Results: preliminary screening and scale test , exclude the number 38 met the inclusion criteria , 31 included in the normal elderly , 45 MCI patients , the MCI group with normal cognition group , SDS , SAS score was significantly higher ( P lt ; 0.05 ) , with significant differences . The MCI group reduction of kidney marrow group phlegm blocking awakened group , blood stasis group , compared with the normal cognition group type SDS , SAS score was significantly higher ( P lt ; 0.05 ) , with significant differences . Conclusion : mild cognitive impairment and depression related TCM syndromes of mild cognitive impairment and depression have some relevance , in which the kidney marrow less group correlation .
