Catalytic hydrogenation of organic compounds containing carbonyl groups is an important field in a variety of chemical processes for the synthesis of fine chemical and pharmaceuticals.
The enantioselective hydrogenation of methyl pyruvate in the presence of γ-Al2O3 supported platinum nanoclusters and chiral modifier cinchonidine was investigated.
