Linguistic Analysis of Verbal Humor in Zhao Benshan’s Comic Sketches: a Relevance Theoretic Perspective

The humor is an extremely popular language in the act of communication phenomena , it is ridiculous language as the carrier, formed by the interaction of context and humorous effect . As a sketch of a traditional art form , a show produced by intentional humor , its humorous and actor of stage art performance amused the audience as a representative of the Chinese comedy sketches , Zhao's essay for its unique audience favorite humorous language , twelve consecutive years since 1999, was the first prize in the CCTV Spring Festival Gala . It is precisely because Zhao Pieces loved by the audience , and Essays in the presence of a large number of humorous discourse , the author selected the Mountain skit as the object of study . However , despite the Zhao Benshan expect each round of dialogue to achieve a humorous effect , due to various reasons , the audience often can not comprehend humor . ZHAO Ben skit humorous speech analysis , the authors found that the language and context to fully understand of Zhao Benshan humor two obstacles . According to the association theory , if the audience does not have the language and context information , it is hard to find humorous discourse associated .
