Study on the Application of Autonomous Learning in Music Education in Vocational Colleges

On the 17th Congress of CCP, General Secretary Hu Jintao proposed that the basic task of school is "education". In the 21st century, there is a tendency of the governments in different countries to focus on the improvement of the qualities of the people. The competitions among the countries are actually the measurement of the qualities of the talents. As we know that "aesthetic education" is an indispensable part of school education. So, "aesthetic education" should be harmoniously combined with "school education" in the process of higher vocational education. But, how can we achieve this purpose? The author believes that if the educators apply the theory of autonomous learning to the teaching, students can be cultivated all-round and the autonomous learning abilities can be developed.This paper focuses on how to apply the theories of autonomous learning into some important processes of common music education in vocational colleges. Many research approaches are taken in this paper, such as, literature searching method, logical analysis, summary of experience, investigation, action research. After the exposition of autonomous learning with multi-angles, the author points out the possibilities and necessities of autonomous learning in vocational colleges, and then lists out some basic learning strategies, some practical autonomous music teaching modes. Last, the author attaches the importance to the essential qualities of music teachers in vocational colleges.
