In the past decade, the effective integration of information technology and curriculum were given a great deal of attention. In recent years, due to the Government on the importance of vocational education, and increased investment in higher vocational colleges. Most of the vocational colleges in the hardware building has been greatly enhanced. Which gives our English teachers in extensive teaching methods, explore new teaching mode has brought opportunities. However, fully equipped hardware does not mean that the effective improvement of classroom teaching. There have been studies have shown that IT has not really effective use of the English classroom. Therefore, how to effectively use information technology to achieve the desired teaching is a great challenge for our English teachers. Four vocational colleges in Shanxi Province, 112 English teachers questionnaires and interviews, investigation and analysis of the usage of the Shanxi Higher Vocational College English teachers IT, find the main factors influencing teachers' effective use of information technology and corresponding measures for improvement. The results show that: 1, higher vocational college English teachers for daily use computer frequency, but are mostly concentrated in the mainstream software applications, does not take account of information technology into English teaching; vocational college English teacher's computer generally not high level of expertise; 3, the majority of teachers at home and office access to information technology more opportunities, and access to information technology in the multimedia classrooms and classrooms fewer opportunities; 4, vocational colleges in almost all English teachers on information technology in teaching a positive attitude, but only a small part of the teachers really put their positive attitude into effective classroom practice; 5, the majority of teachers felt that the school did not provide adequate technical support; 6, the lack of professional development opportunities factors that hinder English teachers in vocational colleges use of information technology; 7, teaching experience and computer experience how much a direct reflection of the frequency and the level of English teachers' use of information technology; 8, the impact of information technology is effectively used in teaching factors many, the level of expertise of the teachers of information technology, lack of technical support and information literacy is the main factor. On this basis, the corresponding measures for improvement: 1, the school should increase investment in hardware to meet the needs of the use of information technology;, management should provide long-term on-the-job training and adequate technical support to improve the information technology and English the effective combination of courses.
